We are not broken. We are not victims. What happened to us?
And what can we learn from it? . . .
You can’t go back and change the beginning, but you can start where you are and change the ending.
— C.S. Lewis

What is the difference between therapy and life coaching?
There is clearly some overlap between the two but there are important differences. Essentially, life coaching is for individuals seeking to focus on future goals, career development, spiritual guidance, meaningful life changes and personal growth, mentorship needs and performance improvement. Life coaching generally books at a less expensive rate than therapy but is not covered by insurance.
Therapy is intended for individuals needing to address more serious life, relational or functioning crises: struggling with mental health and relationship issues, addiction, managing chronic symptoms or mood disorders, overcoming emotional challenges, in need of processing and healing from trauma, toxic stress or grief. Licensed therapists require a master’s degree, years of supervised experience and are tightly regulated by insurance and state agency protocols.
Currently a Licensed Associate Counselor in the state of Arizona, Michael provides mental health counseling under the supervision of Kayleigh Lindsay of Mindful Healing located in Surprise, AZ.
We primarily serve the West Valley—Surprise, Sun City, Peoria, Glendale, Litchfield Park and Goodyear—as well as the greater Phoenix metro area.
We welcome remote clients throughout Arizona.
